Scientific activity has focused on studying the Sun, the interplanetary medium, Sun-Earth relations and circumterrestrial space.

a. Solar physics
Primarily observational and experimental activities in collaboration with the University of Rome Tor Vergata - Solar Physics Group.  Over the years, this activity has been carried out on various topics, mainly focused on studying photospheric and chromospheric dynamics in quiet and active regions.

b. Physics of the interplanetary medium: magnetohydrodynamic turbulence in the solar wind.
This activity has been carried out over the years on the analysis and study with various techniques of investigation of Alfven fluctuations in the solar wind at multiple distances and heliocentric latitudes to study the evolution of characteristic observables (intermittency, magnetic helicity, Alfven ratio).

c. Physics of Sun-Earth Relations, Space Weather (SW).
Activity in this field is experimental and has included the development of instrumentation for ground-based observations and analysis procedures for the study and monitoring of the circum-terrestrial environment.

d. Remote monitoring of the Earth's atmosphere in the context of high-energy cosmic ray observations.
This activity is experimental and aims to develop instrumentation operated from remote automatically.
