The research activity is in analytical chemistry, particularly in chemometrics, and has a dual nature, one more experimental and one related to the implementation of new chemometric methods. Within the first part, the studies conducted involve applying chemometric techniques to analyse mainly (but not necessarily) spectroscopic data collected on food and/or compounds of pharmaceutical interest. These works aim to develop models that allow the traceability or the determination of frauds against the products under examination. The second part of the research activity aims to develop new chemometric methods.
