The course forms graduates with the necessary basic skills and knowledge in Physics, both theoretical and experimental, envisaging various employment capabilities and careers and to prepare students with particular interest in specialized areas of Physics for further studies.
The learning activities include a solid background in Mathematics and chemistry and are supported by several laboratory courses where the student will improve his/her experimental abilities and learn how to design and perform a scientific experiment the numerical handling of experimental data. Numerical and computer science skills are also implemented and taught in dedicated as well as in more general courses.
The present degree allows employment in companies and small enterprises as well as in public and private institutions (research, quality assurance, commerce) active in the technological and informatics sector, bio-medical and pharmaceutical sector, environmental sector, electronic sector. It also forms graduate to cover positions in financial institutions and in Teaching at secondary school level.
To enroll in our degree programs you must have an Italian secondary school diploma or an equivalent diploma obtained in another institution.
beginning with the 2013/14 academical school year, we offer the opportunity to widen learning opportunities through 'Excellence paths', dedicated to students particularly interested and willing to work harder.
• personal tutor: a faculty member is assigned to each new student to assist him managing all kind of problems
• tutoring services: tutorial sessions on basic physics and math courses are organized each semester to enforce problem solving abilities.
