Research in
Organic Chemistry

The research of the Organic Chemistry group revolves around different fields of the organic chemistry with a range of overlaps that make it highly collaborative in nature.

One of the main areas is sustainable catalysis and synthetic methodologies to access high value-added molecules, and to support the optimisation of industrial processes. The group mainly focuses on minted metals, organocatatalysis, biocatalysis, synergistic catalysis, photocatalysis, electrocatalysis, Frustrated Lewis Pair, and supramolecular catalysis.

Other important areas are investigation of micelles and lyposomes, and drug delivery via micelles and lyposomes, and chemistry for food packaging and cultural heritage.
