Master Degree in Physics
Educational objectives
The Master Degree in Physics completes the general education through a solid shared base in the characterizing fields and provides in-depth knowledge on topics of frontier Physics in the chosen field of micro or macro Physics. The joint basis covers topics in quantum physics and classical macro-system physics applied to condensed matter physics, nuclear and subnuclear physics, space physics and atmospheric physics. The acquired training allows a non-sectorial vision of the possible applications to the most diversified fields of Physics of theoretical formalism, mathematical methods and experimental techniques. The teachings of the specific curriculum are in close connection with the research activity carried out in our Department and allow the acquisition of advanced and frontier knowledge. In the thesis work, the student tackles a scientific research topic and learns to apply the acquired knowledge.
